Nikki Meloskie - Wednesday, October 11th, 2006 10:58 PM PDT Six years ago, my late husband and I attended a wine dinner at the Silver Legacy in Reno. Our dear friend, Luke, was the entertainment. We didn't know him at the time, but do now and have since remained devoted fans. Luke captured my heart by singing "Both Sides Now" a song that has great meaning to me. I began to cry. He walked over to me and finished singing that song directly to me. I was able to share the story with him later. He is an unbelieveably talented entertainer. My husband loved his music, especially "Run for the Roses" which Luke honored him by singing at his funeral. I still can't understand why Luke has not reached the top of the charts. Those of us who know his talent are blessed on a regular basis. I was fortunate to meet Judy Collins last Christmas. She knows our story. I gave her one of the nine CD's (Time Pieces)that I have gone through over the last six years. God Bless you Luke. We Love you. You are number one on our chart. Meggy, Mike and Nikki Melanie - Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006 10:17 PM PDT Hi Luke, what a joy to hear your beautiful voice again! I often listened to you in Lincoln NE, starting when I was studying art at NE Wesleyan. I came across your great site by accident and am so happy that you have continued to share your gift. All the best to you, I look forward to enjoying your CDs. Thayer Corker - Monday, September 4th, 2006 2:26 PM PDT In the past 33 years I have been a student/resident, and am now a frequent visitor, in Tahoe. Prior to my visit last month, my brother informed me they were going to take me to see someone who would knock my socks off and to get my list of favorite songs ready. I was dubious. That changed immediately upon entering the Lone Eagle - good thing I was not wearing socks! Who would have thought Paul Stookey would be on your song list? Maybe next time you'll be able to fit Aubrey in! Your CD's have come home to GA with me and are thoroughly enjoyed by all who hear them. I was very sorry that we could not make it back to north shore the following weekend, but look forward to the holidays there this winter - I am a believer now - just wish my brother had moved up to Incline years ago!! The old Kings Castle always had the greatest folks - so glad to see the Hyatt is continuing the tradition!! T Russ Swift - Saturday, July 29th, 2006 3:52 PM PDT Luke, thanks so much for making my trip to Tahoe something to truly remember. You allowed my mom, sister, brother-in-law and me to get "up close and personal" and sang songs that really meant a lot to us, bringing some emotions to the surface. I'm listening to your CD back here in Overland Park, and I'm reliving the moments we spent in your welcoming presence. Thanks for the true hospitality! John & Donna Havel - Sunday, July 23rd, 2006 6:25 PM PDT Luke, you were truly the best part of our Tahoe visit. Spending our days in the wonderful sun with good friends and our evenings watching the beautiful sunsets at the fire pit of the Lone Eagle and listening to you, well, it can't get much better than that!! Thanks for your truly inspired music! I think San Antonio could certainly use a wonderful guy like you! Michael Carreno - Thursday, July 6th, 2006 1:12 AM PDT I met you and watched you play at the Lone Eagle tonight, July 6. My table asked for several requests. From the first song I heard you play to the last one I was mesmerized. I am an aspiring guitarist and I have very similar taste in music. I just wanted to let you know that your music was inspirational and has me excited for what I may be able to do in the future. I just want to say again how much we enjoy your music and how special it was that you sang at their wedding in June. Your style and arrangements are superb, along with your personal touch and pleasing personality that comes through in your music. I am looking forward to my next visit to the Lake. Amanda - Sunday, November 27th, 2005 10:34 AM PST Hi Luke. I live in San Diego and also have a vacation rental up in Incline. Everytime I have been in Lake Tahoe over the past 8 years, I make it a MUST on my itinerary to head down to The Lone Eagle Grille to enjoy your music, the fireplace, and desserts. The environment, ambiance and your music makes for a wonderful and relaxing evening! I have all three of your CDs and truly do enjoy them. My favorite one being your latest, loves the songs and the composition of them. My absolute favorite song that you sing and I request everytime I come to Lone Eagle to enjoy your show is "Return to Pooh's Corner". To me, that is YOUR signature song. It reminds me of you and your daughter and her involvement on your CDs and when her headphones were falling off her head. I was up at Lone Eagle Grille over the Thanksgiving weekend and I appreciate you coming over to our table, fulfilling my song request and singing Pooh Corner for us. You put so much passion into your music and it shows. I look forward to my next trip to the Lake. Continued success and I look forward to your next CD. I will most definitely add it to my music library. Amanda Mary Dinnen - Thursday, November 24th, 2005 2:52 PM PST Hi Luke! My husband Kevin and I have appreciated your music and always play your cd's since we have not been able to make the trek from Chicago to Tahoe in about 3 years. I'll never forget the effort you put forth to sing Valentine by Martina Mc Bride and Jim Brickman for our anniversary last time that we were there. Any chance of it appearing on one of your cd's someday?? When I need to take a Tahoe moment, I just pop in your cd's and I'm "In Tahoe". Good luck and I hope to hear you on the radio in chicago soon!!! Suzanne Reed - Wednesday, October 5th, 2005 9:36 PM PDT Hi! I was looking at the Incline paper online and saw the article on you, then went to your site..great website and great singing! I was the singer/guitarist at that Hyatt wayyyyyy back when it was called "Kings Castle" 1974-75 and was working there when Hyatt took it over, May '75. I sang 6 nights a week, 6 hrs a night in the Sugar Pine Lounge for about seven months, living in the hotel on the 11th floor! I will never forget my year there. I wrote a tune ("Tahoe Fever") so I understand your inspiration for your Tahoe songs. Incline will always have my heart. I'm still in music a bit. I'm married with two grown sons and I still play music time to time in San Diego where we live. We'd love to come up and hear you play.. maybe in the spring or summer.
