It was great to finally see & hear you in person last summer during my trip to Tahoe. My sister had sent me your albums so I had been listening to you for years. It was great talking to you and sharing pizza on that lovely Tahoe evening. I was hoping you had a new cd out. You had mentioned a live version.. any date for a release?? I was hoping to get it for my sister in Reno for her birthday.
Having spent many summer evenings on Tahoe playing my guitar on top of the boathouse, hearing you play and sing felt like coming home. Thanks for sharing your music with all of us!! From MN

I'm so happy to have found this site. I knew back in 1975 that your music was your true calling. Glad to see you are doing so well. When I hear some of the songs on your play list on the radio I think of you and I have a lot of great memories. I hope that some day I will be able to get to Tahoe and hear you in person. Best of luck always.

My friends and I used to listen to you when we were in college in Lincoln. While you left Nebraska to pursue a golf career, I am pleased to know that you have returned to your music. You have so much talent that should be shared with others.

I was wondering if you ever return to play in Lincoln or Omaha? I married a musician and would love to have him hear you. You both have a very similar sound, selection of music, and writing talents.

Love the site, good work.

Glad to know you are doing so well, Luke!
Congratulations on your success!

Six years ago, my late husband and I attended a wine dinner at the Silver Legacy in Reno. Our dear friend, Luke, was the entertainment. We didn't know him at the time, but do now and have since remained devoted fans. Luke captured my heart by singing "Both Sides Now" a song that has great meaning to me. I began to cry. He walked over to me and finished singing that song directly to me. I was able to share the story with him later. He is an unbelieveably talented entertainer. My husband loved his music, especially "Run for the Roses" which Luke honored him by singing at his funeral. I still can't understand why Luke has not reached the top of the charts. Those of us who know his talent are blessed on a regular basis. I was fortunate to meet Judy Collins last Christmas. She knows our story. I gave her one of the nine CD's (Time Pieces)that I have gone through over the last six years. God Bless you Luke. We Love you. You are number one on our chart. Meggy, Mike and Nikki

Hi Luke, what a joy to hear your beautiful voice again! I often listened to you in Lincoln NE, starting when I was studying art at NE Wesleyan. I came across your great site by accident and am so happy that you have continued to share your gift. All the best to you, I look forward to enjoying your CDs.

In the past 33 years I have been a student/resident, and am now a frequent visitor, in Tahoe. Prior to my visit last month, my brother informed me they were going to take me to see someone who would knock my socks off and to get my list of favorite songs ready. I was dubious. That changed immediately upon entering the Lone Eagle - good thing I was not wearing socks! Who would have thought Paul Stookey would be on your song list? Maybe next time you'll be able to fit Aubrey in! Your CD's have come home to GA with me and are thoroughly enjoyed by all who hear them. I was very sorry that we could not make it back to north shore the following weekend, but look forward to the holidays there this winter - I am a believer now - just wish my brother had moved up to Incline years ago!! The old Kings Castle always had the greatest folks - so glad to see the Hyatt is continuing the tradition!! T

Luke, thanks so much for making my trip to Tahoe something to truly remember. You allowed my mom, sister, brother-in-law and me to get "up close and personal" and sang songs that really meant a lot to us, bringing some emotions to the surface. I'm listening to your CD back here in Overland Park, and I'm reliving the moments we spent in your welcoming presence. Thanks for the true hospitality!

John & Donna Havel - Sunday, July 23rd, 2006 6:25 PM PDT
Luke, you were truly the best part of our Tahoe visit. Spending our days in the wonderful sun with good friends and our evenings watching the beautiful sunsets at the fire pit of the Lone Eagle and listening to you, well, it can't get much better than that!! Thanks for your truly inspired music! I think San Antonio could certainly use a wonderful guy like you!

Michael Carreno - Thursday, July 6th, 2006 1:12 AM PDT
I met you and watched you play at the Lone Eagle tonight, July 6. My table asked for several requests. From the first song I heard you play to the last one I was mesmerized. I am an aspiring guitarist and I have very similar taste in music. I just wanted to let you know that your music was inspirational and has me excited for what I may be able to do in the future. I hope I can come see you play soon!! p.s. when you played desperado it was really moving! thank you,
mike

I was proposed to outside the Lone Eagle Grille, sat by the firepit, back in March 2006. You sang for us that evening - we shall never forget the moment, you helped to make Jon's proposal to me complete. We are now to be wed in England, UK and wish that you could join us? If you happen to be planning a trip over to the UK, please get in touch. Our Wedding date is 10th May 2006, when we will also be celebrating 25 years of courting on the same date! Kind regards and fond memories - Jon and Julie (soon to be O'Grady!) Wirral, England. UK

Hi Luke,
I just discovered your website, thanks to our daughter, Julie. I just want to say again how much we enjoy your music and how special it was that you sang at their wedding in June. Your style and arrangements are superb, along with your personal touch and pleasing personality that comes through in your music. I am looking forward to my next visit to the Lake.

Amanda - Sunday, November 27th, 2005 10:34 AM PST
Hi Luke. I live in San Diego and also have a vacation rental up in Incline. Everytime I have been in Lake Tahoe over the past 8 years, I make it a MUST on my itinerary to head down to The Lone Eagle Grille to enjoy your music, the fireplace, and desserts. The environment, ambiance and your music makes for a wonderful and relaxing evening! I have all three of your CDs and truly do enjoy them. My favorite one being your latest, loves the songs and the composition of them. My absolute favorite song that you sing and I request everytime I come to Lone Eagle to enjoy your show is "Return to Pooh's Corner". To me, that is YOUR signature song. It reminds me of you and your daughter and her involvement on your CDs and when her headphones were falling off her head. I was up at Lone Eagle Grille over the Thanksgiving weekend and I appreciate you coming over to our table, fulfilling my song request and singing Pooh Corner for us. You put so much passion into your music and it shows. I look forward to my next trip to the Lake. Continued success and I look forward to your next CD. I will most definitely add it to my music library. Amanda

Mary Dinnen - Thursday, November 24th, 2005 2:52 PM PST
Hi Luke! My husband Kevin and I have appreciated your music and always play your cd's since we have not been able to make the trek from Chicago to Tahoe in about 3 years. I'll never forget the effort you put forth to sing Valentine by Martina Mc Bride and Jim Brickman for our anniversary last time that we were there. Any chance of it appearing on one of your cd's someday?? When I need to take a Tahoe moment, I just pop in your cd's and I'm "In Tahoe". Good luck and I hope to hear you on the radio in chicago soon!!!

Hey Luke...my wife Gladys and I cherish your warm and exciting performances at the Lone Eagle. We said our wedding vows on the cottage green at the Hyatt in the summer of 2004 and bought a home in Incline this summer. We spend every spare moment up at the Lake throughout the year and spending an evening with you listening to your wonderful compositions enlightens our spirits. We both love, "Mother of the Lake", and "In Tahoe"...true masterpieces that will be appreciated for many years to come. We look forward to seeing you this holiday season.

Hi! I was looking at the Incline paper online and saw the article on you, then went to your site..great website and great singing! I was the singer/guitarist at that Hyatt wayyyyyy back when it was called "Kings Castle" 1974-75 and was working there when Hyatt took it over, May '75. I sang 6 nights a week, 6 hrs a night in the Sugar Pine Lounge for about seven months, living in the hotel on the 11th floor! I will never forget my year there. I wrote a tune ("Tahoe Fever") so I understand your inspiration for your Tahoe songs. Incline will always have my heart. I'm still in music a bit. I'm married with two grown sons and I still play music time to time in San Diego where we live. We'd love to come up and hear you play.. maybe in the spring or summer. All the best to you!

Wow! Really, really blown away with
the site-setup and graphics. Like Latin dancers, it is just, kick the floor, awesome. Really beautiful,
intriguing, and
alive. Well done, Luke.

The dock...reminds me of how much fun it was to play there before everything changed. i never thought that that green chair i gave to my brother for his birthday, you'd ever be
relaxin' in! Glad it's gone to good use.
Must say that you look really-really wonderful,
healthy, and happy. Bailey sure is growing up and so gorgeous. You
are very lucky. Thanks
for your music...it is
as fresh and as clean
as a white sheet blowing in the wind,
like your music-sets at night on the beach echoin' around Lake Tahoe.
Thank God...

Love and Peace to you.
